Not Just an Ordinary Day

On January 2, 2001, Ann Marie went to work at the hospital like any other day for the last 25 years. But that day literally turned out to be a pain in the neck — she had an accident that resulted in a herniated cervical disk of the neck. Following the accident, she had a cage put in at C7 and went back to work with no pain. Unfortunately, 11 months later a coworker accidentally hit her on the back of the neck making her fall. That’s when the pain began. Ann Marie saw several surgeons and settled on a physician who recommended a bone plate with screws at C 4, 5 and 6. “After the surgery I didn’t function well at all. I got very dizzy and had to give up all activities outside the home. Housework was too difficult to do.” Thankfully, her doctor prescribed the Empi Pain Management System. Ann Marie uses her Empi TENS everyday and explains “it greatly improves my quality of life by reducing the pain and helps me relax — I’d recommend it to anyone.”
